Again, author Cooper had me laughing and reaching for a class of cold water at the same time!!! The blossoming of these two, again both in their denial, mixed up with their crazy friends, had me sad once the story ended. This is the second book in the story and is an entertaining read. The Hookup Plan was humorous, the banter witty and the characters were easy to relate to and so engaging that you cannot help but fall for them. On episodes of Saturday Night Live, there were seven to nine ads sprinkled throughout the episode on both mobile and TV. Modern Family had three to four ad breaks within one 23-minute episode.
Jeff was Betsy’s brother’s best friend and she’s had a crush on him forever. She’s always been off-limits per her brother. She’s determined to win him over and has a major plan to do so.
The group of friends sometimes are nuts and sometimes are loveable. There are characters that we love to hate, and simply love watching. Season 2 is starting out with a very unrealistic story and I’m sure it will only get worse from here, but I’m afraid they’ve lost me.

With the flashbacks that occurred through college, I found Janie to be very whiny, immature and just out right annoying. She’s 19, but acts like she is in middle school. Unfortunately, seven years later, she is still immature and whiny.
You meet them in the book The Dating Plan. Betsy is Julia’s best friend and Jeff is Nolan’s best friend. You don’t have to read The Dating Plan to read this book. I think it was more enjoyable reading it after The Dating Plan since you do get to meet and see how they interact with each other. Betsy and Jeff have a nice chemistry together that initially comes out as being witty banter and then progresses into some more heated chemistry.
The other person is a stranger and anything could happen, which is why you need to be extra careful who you go home with. So communicate what it means to her and what it means to you, so both of you are clear from the start before venturing further. But again, the definition of a hookup differs between people and believe it or not, for some it means just going out together and nothing more.

This newest one by Ruiz sounds just as fun. I’m a big fan of the rivals-to-lovers trope so I was thoroughly entertained by the sparks that flew between London and Drew. It was hilarious learning about how competitive they were in high school and especially about how much Drew got under London’s skin. The Hook Up Plan special episode, The Lockdown Plan, released on Netflix outside of France on November 6th, 2020. From reality TV and docuseries to Oscar-winning films and international TV series, there’s always plenty to choose from. However, ‘The Hook Up Plan’ also stresses the fact that lies sometimes can also be told to protect someone, although it always ends up hurting the other person.

As much as I love the fact that Netflix is finally creating and supporting more non-english speaking content, I can’t seem to overlook the fact that this just isn’t all that spectacular. The lead actress simply cannot pull off comedy. With this said, I went out to find something about the show that I like. The French is a goldmine of sex talk and petite vulgarities. I will stick with it, all in the name of mastering this language that I will never, ever master.
It was tough waiting this one out, but I am so glad we had the opportunity to learn more about both these characters and be part of their journey. The Hook Up is a modern version of The Dating Game and uses people’s self-posted online media content as a way to learn more about the contestants. It also showcases some of the silly and inappropriate content people inexplicably post online.
My heart was overflowing and a little bit breaking when it came to the realities they each had to face. I was so invested in this couple and rooting for them the entire time. The steam was pretty steamy and the relationship between London, Samiah, and Taylor was in full force in this novel. The Hookup Plan is the 3rd and final book in The Boyfriend Project series and my fav in the series! The series started out with 3 women learning they were all dating the same man…they ditched him and formed an instant friendship with one another. They even made a pact, to worry less about men and dating apps and focus on projects in their life that brought them joy instead.
